How are you currently testing your apps to make sure they work as expected? What if there was a way to gain more confidence with your web application projects without having to write a lot of additional code? Welcome to Cypress! Cypress can be used (for free) by developers and end-to-end testers to create robust tests that simulate how users interact with your application. In this webinar Dan Wahlin will walk you through what Cypress is, the features it provides, and how it can be used to test your applications more easily and with more confidence. By the time we're done you'll have a sample project to learn from and understand enough to get started using Cypress in your projects.

***This session is worth 1 Leadership PDU until 7/21/2022!***

Once upon a time there was a software development team. Every day they worked remotely. One day they committed to implementing agile principles even though their team size and locations were not what most would hope for when implementing agile practices. Because of that, many new team processes were implemented. Because of that, the team experimented often and continually adapted. Until finally the team of 36 people in 36 locations spread across 4 time zones became one team.

During this session, Kupe will talk about his role as Delivery Leader and how he worked with his team to implement agile principles when all the odds were against them. You will walk away with ideas you and your team can use to improve your efficiency and effectiveness.

Session Objectives
• Learn how it all starts with One Team
• See how you can adapt many agile principles when your team is not the ideal size
• Experience key take-aways to implement with your team

Speaker Bio:
As the founder of KupeTalks, Kupe’s main objective is to help you connect, collaborate, and be ready for the future. For the past 20 years, Kupe has been helping organizations achieve business value with an improvisational advantage.

Kupe is an author, keynote speaker, coach and a trained improv actor. Some think Broccoli & Cheetos is an odd combination, but you will be delighted with Kupe’s combination of laughter and learning. Kupe is a connector and has a goal in life to meet everyone! So, drop what you’re doing and connect with him on LinkedIn now. Why are you still reading this…connect with Kupe?!

Ransomware has evolved again and has some new tricks up its sleeve that are causing more trouble than ever. Although some ransomware gangs said they would halt attacks in healthcare during the crisis, the attacks continue. On top of that, cybercriminals have been taking advantage of the challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic to intensify phishing and smishing attacks while people are working from home, putting in longer hours and are less protected.

In this webinar, we will discuss the latest trends in ransomware and the methods the attackers are using now to spread it. Plus, key defensive strategies you can use now against ransomware and phishing attacks during this time of rapid change.

We will cover:
o New tricks the ransomware attackers are employing
o The rise in attacks around the COVID-19 pandemic
o Defending against the new threats
o How to create your human firewall

There’s a lot of work involved to build and deploy a modern JavaScript application. In addition to building the code, you have to worry about deploying your APIs, securing server-side routes, handling login/logout for users, and more. In this session Dan Wahlin will walk you through a cloud service called Azure Static Web Apps, show how it can automate your builds in Github, deploy your bundles and APIs up to Azure, and even allow you to configure routes and security. The best part about it is you can get started using the service for free!
