SCOPE Our telecommunications client lacked the staff necessary to support multiple company initiatives within their Enterprise Project Management Office (EPO). They sought a staffing partner to assist with forecasting and quickly providing contract resources to manage their work on IT, Web, Marketing, Sales, Retail, Care, HR, Legal, and Supply Chain portfolios. SOLUTION To enable the EPO to meet demanding deadlines, Apex staffed the following team: Six (6) Project Managers responsible for all aspects of managing large, complex projects through full lifecycle including scope, schedule, cost, and resources. This team conducts project meetings, sets and manages client expectations, and interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users and implementation partners. Additionally, they are responsible for a $400+ million budget. Nine (9) Senior Business Systems Analysts responsible for business requirement gathering and user acceptance testing. These employees plan, direct, and perform analysis of business issues to be solved with automated systems. Lastly, they act as a liaison between users and internal technology resources. Two (2) Project Coordinators supporting the project management team by maintaining document control, tracking project activities, and developing and publishing communications to project shareholders. We were able to decrease the time it took to fill each position by leveraging our proactive candidate pipeline process, providing materials, and streamlining the client’s onboarding process. RESULT Apex built a qualified team required to meet our client’s business initiatives within their various portfolios that cost, on average, 5% below our client’s rate card and approximately 20% less than our direct competitors.
