Useful sites to find your next IT position

When it comes to finding your next IT position, the number of job sites at your disposal is a bit overwhelming. If you are not exactly sure what sites to use, here is a list to consider:

Traditional Job Sites

One unique feature of this site is it allows users to learn and share their knowledge by asking or answering technical questions. It also has a jobs section where job seekers can search by technology, location, salary and more.

GitHub Jobs
GitHub is known for being one of the largest platforms for software development where users can share code and collaborate with other developers to build software. They also offer listings of development focused jobs from all over the world.

RubyNow
RubyNow is a job board that specifically lists positions requiring Ruby skills.

icrunchdata
icrunchdata hosts a job posting platform focused on all things tech and data. The job board lists positions in big data, technology, BI, statistics, AI, software and analytics. Job seekers can create a profile and get matched to openings based on their skill set. Users can also check out content on trending topics and industry insights.

Healthcare IT Central
Healthcare IT Central is a site for healthcare IT professionals to find their next job. Job seekers can search and apply to positions, upload their resume and sign up for alerts.

Authentic Jobs
Authentic Jobs is a board for creative professionals looking for their next web, design or tech job.

It is important to incorporate multiple resources in your job search to be efficient and effective. You can find more resources for your job search, resume writing, and interview process on the Apex Career Readiness Resources page. Using the sites above will start you off on the right foot. However, finding the right job requires some skills offline, too. Look for our blog later this summer that shares resources and tips to enhance your career search through non-electronic means.
