Spark has a machine learning aspect to it and it's called Spark MLLib. This webinar discusses an intro into machine learning, some models, and then apply some of those common machine learning models.

We will go over a quick introduction to Spark and its purpose. Then we will review Machine Learning. We will have a discussion of the purpose of data science, what the rigors are with data science and then apply this data into Spark MLLib. We will discuss the various models and then apply various data into Spark in order to achieve some insight into the data you have been aggregating. This class will be using Zeppelin Notebooks.

Speaker Daniel Hinojosa

Daniel Hinojosa is a programmer, consultant, instructor, speaker, and author. With over 20 years of experience, he does work for private, educational, and government institutions. Daniel loves JVM languages like Java, Groovy, and Scala; but also works with non-JVM languages like Haskell, Ruby, Python, LISP, C, C++.
