Completing an internship with a company is an excellent way to line up a potential full-time job after graduation.
Continuously reaching out and staying in touch with the managers and employees that you work with during your internship will show your interest and investment in the company as a whole, and your desire to work there and start a career. Building relationships and following up with key members of the company will let them know you valued the time and opportunity you had there as an intern, and that you are serious about any available long-term positions they may have open in the future.
It is also important to conduct a performance review with your manager or supervisor once you have completed an internship. This allows you and your manager to discuss not only how well you accomplished your responsibilities, but also any suggestions they may have or important takeaways for you to review and apply to your next role. It is also a great way to ask the manager questions about upcoming goals or objectives the company is working towards, and if they see your experience as an intern translate to a full-time position.
