SAP Global Training Deployment

Deployed 50 SAP Trainers globally

SITUATION

After a successfully completing a Global SAP deployment, our client required rapid onsite training of their global key stakeholders and end user community.  Resources were needed to support the following SAP modules:  ERP Central Component (ECC), Production Planner (PP), Quality Management (QM), Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO), Sales and Distribution (SD), Logistics Execution (LE), Warehouse Management (WM), Materials Management (MM), Master Data Governance (MDG), Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO), and Production Planning for Process Industries (PPPI).  Specifically, they need access to resources on a global scale to assist with creation and knowledge transfer to ensure readiness after the “go-live.” Resources would be required to support the following regions:

  • Latin America (LATAM): Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama
  • Asia Pacific (Asia Pac): China, Indonesia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Thailand
  • Europe (EMEA): France, Italy, Russia, Ukraine and United Kingdom

SOLUTION

Our solution required management and oversight that addressed all visa, logistics, spoken languages per location and travel needs.

Based on an initial demand plan, we were able to tap into our global delivery capabilities to find resources in local markets that could reduce travel costs and expenses. We deployed over fifty cost-effective mobile trainers, assembled as teams, to assist with the rollout of the SAP training needed for the client’s required sites and SAP modules.  Using a “Train the Trainer” approach, our resources supported our client by performing the following activities:

  • Creating training material updates
  • Supporting training system data set-ups
  • Performing and teaching training delivery
  • Transferring knowledge

RESULT

We provided world class training teams who delivered the training documentation required in order to enable our client to meet their key milestones.  Our collaborative approach, high-level responsiveness and close integration with the client’s key stakeholders and end user community drove quality results across the program, leading to completion on time and on budget.  The success of the initiative has resulted in expansion of the training services to North America as the next phase.
