Case Study Financial Services

A multi-national banking institution uses Apex to support implementing WorkFusion platform, within a strict budget and adherence to banking standards. 

SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES  

Our client, a financial services institution, was in the process of a significant automation initiative and required a partner that could deliver personnel to assist with the design, implementation, and support of a WorkFusion platform. The WorkFusion platform would support the robotics initiatives including new robotic process automation projects and machine learning components, as well as enhancing and leveraging existing robotics initiatives. The client needed a partner that could provide resources with a range of skillsets and who assimilate to their expectations and standards.

SOLUTION 

Apex partnered with the client stakeholders to further define the scope of development activities. By leveraging our subject matter expertise, we were able to effectively define the right candidate profiles for this specific initiative. Apex then engaged our proven recruiting and screening model to identify, evaluate and deploy a project team of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developers. The project responsibilities our resources were charged with included: 

  • Developing specifications and code to meet project/consumer requirements according to the Robotics SDLC 
  • Automating mortgage application processing by implementing WorkFusion to assess scanned loan documents 
  • Validating line item input accuracy of all customer data before uploading to a loan origination system  
  • Validating that the automation code was working properly in each environment prior to turnover to test teams and addressing any technical issues noted in testing  

RESULT 

Our client adopted the WorkFusion platform on time, on budget and with strict adherence to bank standards. Apex’s resources were an important factor in successfully developing additional functionality in the areas of fraud detection and loan origination automation. Our resources were also leveraged as robotics analysts and became Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) in the automation space specific to our client’s projects. As a result of the quality Apex delivered supporting this initiative, Apex has been engaged to support several other RPA initiatives for our client.
