3D Scanning Engineer V

Summary:
The main function of a 3D Scanning Engineer is to convert hardware into HD 3D models for the purposes of engineering and design improvements. The typical Scanning Engineer has experience manipulating scanned data to create a clean usable model.
Job Responsibilities:
• Scan hardware to create digital models for engineering team.
• Working with tool engineers and designers to assure accuracy of geometry.
• Check geometry before and after assembly to assure accuracy
• Create charts and graphs from data given.
Skills:
• Experience with 3D-white light scanning of physical objects
• Experience with 3D laser scanning metrology equipment
• Ability to convert 3D scan data into a solid HD model
• Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate models.
Education:
• Bachelors Degree in related field of engineering preferred.
