ROLE: Jr. Risk Analyst

LOCATION: Hybrid (within one of the client office locations)

OVERVIEW: Apex Systems has an immediate need for an Jr. Risk Analyst to be part of the Risk and Compliance team, ready for a large financial project roll out. The position is a long term contract-to-hire basis, with a competitive hourly compensation. Successful candidates must have experience in cybersecurity, serve as a self motivated risk analyst responcible for managing multiple risk tickets and perform assessments of potential risk exposures.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Mange risk tickets in Jira to ensure they get completed before deadlines
  • Perform assessments of potential risk exposures and prepare actionable risk reporting
  • Foster strong working relationships with leaders in other areas of the enterprise to perform evaluations of the enterprise risk posture
  • Offer independent advice regarding remediation plans detailing steps to reduce risk in line with established risk appetites
  • Provide thought leadership that further shapes and refines the risk management program


  • 3-5 years of cybersecurity and risk analyst experience
  • Must be familiar with Jira System + controls
  • Familiar with assessing risk level per tickets
  • Must be self-motivated to complete multiple risk tickets with deadlines
  • Must have interpersonal/persuasive skills to communicate to multiple departments and ensure those members complete tickets.
  • Must understand risk/cybersecurity protocols + protocols
  • Creating dashboard experience is a plus in Jira/Splunk
