Job Description:

Business Support Operations roles -

-Data Archive Work

-Need to have solid experience with electronic communications (Exchange, skype)

-Basic understanding of network support

-Maintain Network support with their archive

-Most of the other data feeds they do are pretty wide based

-Experience with providing support for Social media (Bloomberg, etc)

-There are several types of feeds, message data flow is going to be the best they can hope for

-Dedicated business to business with the Bank and Vendors so when one of those connections goes down they need to be able to support

Do they need any type of FS background?

No but experience supporting a large enterprise

-Customer base is 65k-75k people

-Users are going to be the people that supervise those communications

-DNS error or actual physical cable outage

-Won’t own relationships with the vendors

-ITL (customers and vendors both)

-They should understand FS or highly regulated environment

Nice to haves:

-Experience writing SQL scripts

-Basic Programming (Powershell, python)

-Managing archives

Need people that are very self-motivated

IT really slows things down if they have to hand hold

Screening Questions:

  1. Project they worked that was successful
  2. Thinking process through especially difficult project

On call rototation (encourage contractors to participate when comfortable) (Weekend)

Encourages comp time so they don’t exceed 40 hours
