Learning and Development Strategy Manager
Location: Portland, OR (hybrid onsite)
Duration: 9 month contract, potential to extend
This leading retail client is looking for a senior learning and development consultant who will be leading the learning and development strategy for the company's global finance transformation. They will be partnering with the executive leadership and HR business partners to thoroughly assess technical and business development gaps across the org, and then design learning journeys that will shape the org of the future.
Scope
Contractor will partner with the Finance Learning & Development Director, Change Management, HR, and the broader core employee experience team to help prepare teams for transformational change (e.g., ways of working, new competencies, tools, and capabilities).
The successful candidate will utilize Learning Design experience to develop and implement learning plans that elevate employee experience, transformation readiness, skill adoption, and functional effectiveness.
Example deliverables:
•Develop, execute, and monitor learning plan, ensuring it is aligned to & integrated with the overall program plan, employee experience plan, talent development roadmap, and employee journey maps
•Partner with L&D team to build and customize learning materials (e.g., assessment, plans, learning journeys, curated and in-house material development, etc.)
•Support learning strategy co-created in partnership with HR, Change Management, Finance Leadership, employee experience leads and other strategic partners
•Act as a learning advisor for related functional and transformation learning programs; supporting standing meetings, establishing best practices, increasing engagement, and activating a culture of continuous learning
•Partner with Employee Experience (EX), and Comms, HR, and Finance leadership to establish learning needs, draft and socialize plans, and develop solutions for personas across Finance
•Partner with Change Manager to ensure learning materials support identified employee groups
•Partner with L&D & HR to establish future state competency-based learning journeys
•Measure efficacy, check and adjust plan / materials, and ensure there is a plan in place to enable successful launch and ongoing operations of learning plans
•Build and maintain strong relationship with Stakeholders, Core Team project members and L&D counterparts
•Participate in project and L&D team meetings
•Facilitate online and in-person training workshops/sessions
