Vulnerability Management Coordinator
Role Type: 6 Month Contract (extensions available)
Hours: Full Time (37.5 Hours / week)
Location: Remote (PST Working Hours) *Candidates must be located in Canada, BC preferred*
Client Industry: Healthcare IT - IT Security Department
Duties:
- Draw upon subject matter expertise to develop high-quality and detailed materials used as the foundation for effective vulnerability and threat management activities across Utilities, Midstream, and Corporate functions
- Develop reports and dashboards used by infrastructure, applications, and management to drive remediation and prioritization of critical vulnerabilities
- Ensure the organization adequately identifies, measures, manages, and reports vulnerabilities and associated risks and follows all regional standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage service provider, scope routine, and ad hoc scans on all assets and applications
- Assist in the identification, reporting and tracking of vulnerabilities and weaknesses
- Support the team in planning and execution of all penetration testing efforts
- Aid the team in triaging threat intelligence and coordination of integration efforts from various sources into key cyber tools
- In charge of coordinating with and tracking progress of remediation and patching teams internally
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 Years of proven progressive vulnerability and threat management experience, including:
- developing vulnerability and threat management plans and processes
- planning penetration testing activities
- designing and delivering metrics and reporting related to vulnerabilities
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- An equivalent combination of training and experience in the Utilities and Midstream industry would be considered an asset
- Experience working with and leading a managed service provider
- Experience vulnerability management standards (e.g., CVE, CVSS, NIST, OWASP and others)
- Familiarity with Tenable vulnerability assessment platform (Qualys or Rapid7 considered)
- Familiarity with asset management and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Training and certification related to good cyber practices
- Ability to influence others at all levels of an organization with proven advanced leadership skills
- Possess expert communication skills, both written and verbal, including writing executive-level communications and reports
