Network Engineer (Wireless)

Job Description:

• Design, implement, and maintain the companys Cisco wireless network infrastructure, ensuring high levels of performance and reliability using tools such as Cisco 5520 and 9800 Wireless Controllers, and Cisco DNA Center 
• Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime using tools such as Cisco DNA Center Assurance, Cisco Prime Infrastructure and SolarWinds
• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications, including Cisco ISE, using tools such as Cisco DNA Center and Cisco ISE 
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, including security and data protection requirements, using tools such as Cisco ISE
• Participate in the planning and implementation of new network projects, including upgrades and expansions, using tools such as Cisco DNA Center
• Conduct regular performance assessments and implement optimization strategies as needed using tools such as Cisco DNA Center and Cisco Prime Infrastructure 
• Provide guidance and support to other IT team members on Cisco wireless network issues and foreign and anchor wireless topology 
• Develop and implement automated deployment and testing processes for network infrastructure changes using tools such as Ansible and Terraform with Cisco integrations 
• Identify and implement tools and processes to improve network infrastructure management and monitoring using Cisco-specific tools such as Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, and SolarWinds with Cisco integrations 
• Stay up-to-date with emerging wireless network technologies, DevOps practices, and industry trends, and make recommendations for future enhancements using Cisco resources such as Cisco DevNet and Cisco Communities

Qualifications: 

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 
• At least 5 years of experience as a network engineer, with a strong specialization in Cisco wireless technology 
• Excellent knowledge of Cisco wireless network protocols, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and Cisco networking technologies, including Cisco ISE, and Cisco DNA Center 

• Strong understanding of Cisco network architecture, design principles, and performance optimization strategies 
• Proven experience with Cisco network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Cisco DNA Center Assurance, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure 
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment 
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including automation, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines using Ansible
