  • Job Description

    This position offers the opportunity to grow your design skills, plan and produce 2D/3D drawings, and showcase your leadership talents through coordination, communication, and execution of projects.

    The Electrical Designer will work on a diverse portfolio of projects with various clients in the Oil, Gas & Chemical industries,

    • Assist in the design of 15kV, 5kV, 480V and below power systems, lighting systems, protection and controls, and site and facility design.

    • Assist in developing a full range of drawing deliverables such as one-lines, motor schematics, hazardous areas, grounding, duct bank, lighting, power, installation details, and section/elevations.

    • Assist with calculations for lighting, conduit, cable tray, duct bank, and grounding..

    • Complete and review design drawings within scope, budget and schedule.

    • Coordinate drafting and design efforts with both internal and external clients and vendors.

    • All other duties as assigned.

  • Requirements:

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or related field and two years related experience or Associate's degree and three years related experience or four years progressive detailing and design experience.

    • Must be willing to travel to the job site and meet with clients and construction personnel to scope the project and answer construction problems.

    • Must be willing and eligible to obtain or currently hold a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

    • Basic knowledge of NEC, Electricity Basics, Industrial Construction, Industrial Facility Safety, and CAD Standards.

    • Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings. Strong preference for experience in SmartPlant 3D or SmartSketch, but any 3D experience is a plus.
