Job Title:                    Data Reporting Manager

Department:             Operations and Data Management

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but not limited to:

  • Manages the reporting team which maintains current Tableau reports and creates new reports and analytics measures for executive management.
  • Develops data-oriented systems to meet the organization’s and research team’s needs.
  • Developing systems, procedures, and policies for data management, assisting colleagues in performing data- related tasks, and networking with clients.
  • Performs Data Modeling/ETL in Alteryx and creates data workflows for the department to use for new reporting purposes.
  • Utilizes SQL to maintain databases and develop queries for reporting and executive requests.
  • Collects Business Requirements and distributes work effectively across the entire data reporting team.
  • Provides detailed insights to Executive Management.
  • Handles the merger of new data systems and implements new data and reporting structure.
  • Manages and maintains various databases for the business needs.
  • Provides insights on improvements for the call center’s dialer system.
  • Assists in the recruiting efforts and hiring process.
  • Implements policies and strategies to improve productivity and efficiency levels.
  • Communications with the upper management about shifting company priorities and projects.
  • Identifies potential problems and points of friction and works to find solutions to maximize efficiency and revenue.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Detailed oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined.
  • Must be able to conduct meetings with both direct reports and executive management.
  • Ability to multitask and handle heavy workloads in a timely manner.
  • Understand data best practices and data techniques.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
  • Ability and experience to lead and develop talent.
  • Experience in database warehousing.
  • Experience in analyzing data and troubleshooting anomalies.
  • Proficiency in the following tools and languages:
    • Tools:
      • Tableau
      • Tableau Prep
      • Alteryx
      • Alteryx Cloud
      • Salesforce
      • TOAD for Oracle
    • Languages:
      • R
      • Python
      • PostgreSQL

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requires a Master’s Degree in Data Analytics or Computer Science or equivalent/specific training. Requires 5+ years’ experience in reporting/data management; experience in the timeshare/call center industry a plus. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Tableau, Alteryx, and Salesforce Certifications preferred but not required.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all team members and all levels of management while achieving job responsibilities. Ability to read and comprehend business memos, correspondence, policies, and procedures. Excellent written communication skills required, such as composing and proofreading written communication to team members, other employees, and department levels of management.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percents. Ability to aggregate and summarize data across multiple tables within a database.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to troubleshoot issues and/or problem solve errors when building a report, writing a statement in SQL, or when finding other challenges or discrepancies in the data.
