Job Description: In this role, you will be a systems engineer using Agile software development methods. You will assist in planning and executing Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Element Modeling and Simulation development and integration for the upgrades to the GMD Element.  Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a Systems Engineer - Mid to join the GMD Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team. Work Location: Huntsville, AL This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location option s. As Systems Engineer on this team your duties will be: Lead the development and integration of the GMD Element M&S hardware for the M&S products Lead activities to develop flow diagrams, develop Hardware Requirement Specification Document, and Interface Control Document Lead activities to review system designs through Models Based Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo Lead activities to perform hardware modernization efforts for existing and future efforts Work effectively in a rapid paced team environment Requirements Experience with development or integration of hardware, operating systems, and network architecture Ability to understand complex system designs and trouble shoot issues Design flow diagram of system functionality Participate in Agile based development team Brief completed work at iteration demonstrations Brief completed work to stakeholders
Education / Experience: Desired Experience:GMD program experienceSystem of Systems Integration experienceStrong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance and identify root cause and recommend solutionsKnowledge of Agile development processExperience with Git, Jenkins, or the Atlassian tool suite (Jira)Utilization of Digital Engineering environmentGood verbal and written communication skills, must be able to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environmentTypical Education:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
