Apex Systems is looking for a Remote Acord Developer. This would be a long term contract need.

Apex has a client that is a leading player in the insurance industry, dedicated to providing innovative solutions that streamline insurance processes. We are seeking a Senior ACORD Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge insurance applications.

Job Description:

As a Senior ACORD Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining insurance software applications. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around leveraging your expertise in ACORD standards, especially ACORD 103, and your proficiency in XML to enhance our software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ACORD Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of ACORD standards, particularly ACORD 103, to drive the development and integration of insurance-related systems and data models.
  • XML Mastery: Demonstrate proficiency in XML schema design, data transformation, and manipulation to ensure efficient data exchange and communication between systems.
  • Application Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain insurance software applications, ensuring compliance with ACORD standards and industry best practices.
  • Integration: Develop and maintain data integration solutions that facilitate seamless data exchange between internal and external systems, adhering to ACORD standards.
  • Code Review: Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior developers, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to ACORD standards and XML data handling.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for ACORD-related processes, data models, and XML schemas.
  • Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in ACORD standards to drive continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).

- Proven experience as an ACORD Developer, with a strong focus on ACORD 103.

- Extensive experience working with XML, including XML schema design and data manipulation.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.

- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and conveying technical information effectively.

- ACORD certification is a plus.
