Lab Assistant
SUMMARY
Ensure that Quality Products are provided to our customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in the Assurance of the Quality of incoming raw materials including any ingredient material relative to the production of products provided to our customers.
2. Update and effectively communicate to all the current and changes to all raw material and production/ingredient specifications.
3. Evaluate samples for testing procedures.
4. Inspect incoming ingredient samples for contamination.
5. Perform standardized test on incoming grain samples.
6. Perform Farinograph testing. Additional testing may include FNV, moisture, ash, Leco proteins, and any other requested tests on products.
7. Provide the information to the QA Assistant, QA Manager for the analysis.
8. Provide technical assistance to all production functions related to our process.
9. Empty samples from shelves and cabinets.
10. Perform other task assigned by Quality Assurance Manager or designate.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Some experience working in laboratory environment desired (food industry a plus).
This position will train during the day shift for a week and then will work Monday – Friday from 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm with occasional overtime per production and special project needs.
