Accounts Receivable Specialist
Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the invoicing of customer sales. This role includes ensuring that invoices are accurate and that the proper accounting procedures are followed for the sales of goods and services completed by the organization.
Duties / Responsibilities:
-Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
-Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customer or enters them into customer portal.
-Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment.
-Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
-Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance Customer Service and Sales team.
-Collaborates with the Controller to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic (at least bimonthly) basis.
-Fills out Sales Reports.
-Tracks information for special conditions (discounts, rebates, adders, etc.).
-Provides backup to Accounts Payable as needed.
-Awareness of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards.
-Performs other duties as required and assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities:
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
-Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
? Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
? Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
? Proficient in Excel
? Working knowledge of SAP Business One / NAVision
? Customer service oriented
? Ability to work as a team and collaborate

? Flexibility and adaptability
Education and Experience:
? Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
? Three years’ previous experience.
