Desktop Technician (Mid)

Job Description:

Apex Systems is currently looking for multiple Tier I and Tier II Desktop Support Technicians to join a growing healthcare client at multiple locations in the Salt Lake City, UT and surrounding areas (West Jordan, West Valley, Lehi, and Downtown Salt Lake City).

This position would require you to work 100% onsite, Mon - Fri, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Experience Required: 

  • Tier l requires - 6 months to 2 years of recent Desktop Support experience
  • Tier ll requires - 2+ years of recent Desktop Support experience 
  • Heavy Microsoft Environment experience required
  • Healthcare Provider (Clinic/Hospital) environment experience is a PLUS! 
  • CompTIA A+ preferred, not required
  • Hands on experience with hardware, technical support, PC’s, workstation setups, device deployment, imaging of machines, swapping hardware, etc. 
  • Soft Skills Needed: Team Player who can work well independently on tasks assigned, excellent verbal and written communicator, positive attitude with a customer service mindset, willingness to pitch in and help out, proactive approach to all things.  

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
IT Experience must include the following:

• Active Directory

• Microsoft Windows based desktop hardware

• Windows 7/10

• Microsoft Office 2016 including Outlook

• Software Installations

• Printer Deployment on Windows Servers

• Proficiency with troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and wireless network problems

• Hardware deployment such as desktops, printers, peripherals

• Experience with a ticketing system
Highly Desired Skills

• MAC Support

• Mobile device support such as tablets, portable workstations and VDI

• Skills must include the following

* Excellent customer service skills

* Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Excellent organizational skills

* Ability to work with a diverse constituency

* Must be able to work independently


***10-panel drug screen, 7 year criminal BGC, OIG, and sexual predator check are required. Must be willing to receive all vaccinations required to work in a healthcare environment

 

Compensation for Tier l is $22/hr and Tier ll is $27/hr
