Sr Cisco Voice Network Engineer

Position: Sr. Network Engineer
Rate: 65-75/hr on W2
Length: Rolling Contract with strong potential to convert full time
Location: 100% Remote + Travel
Travel: 10-20% international traveling a year

Looking for a Sr. Level Network Engineer for the network operations team who has senior level experience with routing, switching, firewalls, SolarWinds, that also has good hands-on experience with cisco voice – gateways, queues, trunking, etc. This team is mainly break/fix, maintaining the network, iOS upgrades, monitoring and configuring SolarWinds, fixing end of life software & hardware, outages, they will not be involved in deployments.
This person will need to travel internationally. They will likely travel 3-6 times a year internationally for 5-7 days at a time. Locations can include Spain, Bahamas, Singapore, Italy, etc. This candidate needs a passport or be able to get one.
Day to Day:
This candidate should be able to do everything A to Z from the network side when a ticket is created, then escalate when needed for high level voice issues. Should be able to decipher if the issue is a network issue or a voice issue. If they don’t have the ability to troubleshoot the voice issue, then they will need to escalate to the voice team. This person does not need to be an SME in voice but needs to know when to escalate to the voice team.
