Job Description:

Position: SCOM Engineer

Location: Joint Base Andrews

Clearance: Candidates must be US Citizens able to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Secret clearance as a condition of employment

Duration: Long Term Contract

Required Skills:

NMS Engineer fluent in Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM). Able to create and modify SCOM alerts. Plans and conducts work using independent judgment in evaluating, selecting and adapting standard systems design engineering practices. May be primary determiner of systems engineering practice on project, or may support more senior systems engineer. Works with technical specialists and program manager in developing technical and managerial recommendations that directly affect cost, schedule, and risk. Works under limited direction. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.

Knowledge/Skills and Ability: Excellent understanding of systems development lifecycle and systems engineering role throughout lifecycle. Detailed knowledge of many of the systems engineering competencies listed above under Scope. Able to handle seldom and unusually occurring job events.

Domain: Expert level knowledge of one customer domain or intermediate level knowledge of at least two customer domains.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university or addition of 5 years to overall experience requirement.
