Job Description:

Apex Systems, the Nation’s 2nd largest Technical Staffing and Services Firm, has an opening for an AV Technician in the Richmond and Virginia Beach, Virginia and surrounding areas, Contract to hire role.

Audio Visual Install Technician
Location: On-site
Length: 3+months Contract to Hire
Level: 1-4

What are the top 3 MUST HAVE technologies or Required experience for the position?
1. Some type of cable pulling experience, termination
2. Teachable/wanting to learn
3. Valid Driver’s License/Transportation
Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
Level 1 - Pretty basic, will be with an upper level tech
Cable pulling, light terminations, hanging tv’s – based on instruction given to them from a higher level tech
Level 2:
What are the top 3 MUST HAVE technologies or Required experience for the position?
1. Some AV experience (at least 1 year but ideally 2+years)
2. Cable pulling/terminations
3. Understand displays, hung displays – av/power etc
NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN)?
1. Crestron would be nice – or even being able to speak the language – they’ve installed a Crestron, etc
2. Biron would be nice
3. OSHA 10 or 30 cert or anytype of Avixa
Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
Level 2 – going to be doing more work on their own, less supervision
Look at drawings, start getting wire pulled – start building rack
More self-starting, may be on-site w/out lead, may even be acting as a lead
Level 3:
What are the top 3 MUST HAVE technologies or Required experience for the position?
1. Crestron
2. Biron
3. 4+ years of AV exp
4. Valid Driver’s License/Transportation
NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN)?
1. CTS Certification
2. OSHA Certification

Will be a lead – leading teams
Level 4:
What are the top 3 MUST HAVE technologies or Required experience for the position?
1. 8+ years of AV experience
2. CTS Certification
3. Leading Projects
4. Crestron/Biron
5. Valid Driver’s License/Transportation
NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN)?
1. OSHA
Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
Leading much larger jobs, construction, etc
Considered a foreman 
Lead on long term construction projects, bid work. Some projects run 2-3 years
