Break-Fix Technician Opportunity in Burlington, VT!

Apex has an opportunity for a Break-Fix Technician role. This is a +6-12 month contract to hire position and the pay rate is flexible depending on experience.

Position: Break/Fix Technician
Location: Burlington, VT 

Rate: Negotiable
Duration: +6-12 months contract (potential for conversion)


Position Description
This position will be responsible for break/fix repair of supermarket POS and IT computer equipment (Self Scan Lanes will be the priority at first). This position will include a company van, gas card, tools, and parts (all business use only).  The day-to-day activities will require traveling from store to store repairing down equipment as needed. The position will rotate on call every other week requiring the technician to be “On Call” for that week for critical issues.  This will require some weekend and after-hours OT as needed by the business.
 
Required Skills

  • Helpdesk/Desktop support background
  • Solid communication
  • CompTIA A+ Certification preferred 
  • Knowledge of POS equipment (Scales, registers, computer systems)
  • Good customer service/people skills
  • Driver’s License and good driving record
  • Ability to work well independently and with a team
