Job Description:

Location: Oklahoma City, OK - Remote 
Length: 12-months contract 
We are looking for a passionate Data Analyst. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions.
As an IT Team Member, each person must have flexibility in the duties they perform. Tasks may include operational responsibilities not directly related to initiatives but will be within the professionals core skill set.
Principle Responsibilities:  (Essential Function)
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, and provide ongoing reports
  • Ability to read, write, analyze, test, modify, and interpret SQL code
  • Develop and implement database queries, stored procedures, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize business efficiency and data quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain data analysis systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to find and correct code defects
  • Work with management to prioritize work to support the business’ current needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Conduct quality control assessments of data
  • Apply critical thinking and creative problem solving techniques to gain insights about data
Job Requirements Skills:
  • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, and data segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting platforms, data tools, and programming tools (MS SQL Server, MS Power BI, MS SQL Server Management Studio, MS SQL Server Data Tools/MS Business Intelligence Data Studio, XML data models, JSON data models, MS SQL Server Integration Studio)
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (MS Excel, MS SQL Analysis Services)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills with the ability to communicate in small to mid-size group settings
  • Keen eye for detail, analytical mind, and excellent problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and tasks
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years professional analyst experience, or commensurate work experience for the same amount of time in a like role at other organization(s)

Working Relationships:
  • Maintain inter-department relationships to resolve client issues
  • Effectively communicate with extended service providers, IT Management, and IT infrastructure groups
