Business Systems Consultant 

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our consulting practice has an opening for a Business Systems Analyst Consultant who will be responsible for delivering Data mapping activities to create a new catalog for a banking front end application for a Top Five Bank.

Client: Big 5 Bank

Location:  Hybrid; 1- 2 days a week in Toronto

Terms: 6 Month Contract, Strong possibility of extension or converting fulltime based on project budget & candidate performance.

Hours: 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill a dual role within our team. This position requires Data mapping activities to create a new catalog for a banking front end application.
What you will be doing:
  • Work collaboratively with Business Analysts (BAs) and application developers to understand the data flow for new catalog entries in the Banking Front-End Applications Service.
  • Analyze and map data elements between CRS and client services, ensuring accurate and efficient data flow.
  • Document the data mapping process using established templates and tools.
  • Create and maintain artifacts such as data element definitions, data dictionary entries, and API specifications.
  • Understand relational database concepts and how data is structured within the system.
  • Analyze APIs associated with data services, including request/response structures and data attributes.
  • Identify the source of data elements and track changes to data definitions.
  • 3-5 years as a BSA
  • Experience working with data definition and data elements.
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to create clear and concise documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with data catalogs, data dictionaries, and data attributes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and APIs is a plus.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
