Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening in the Online Retail space for a Technical Program Manager with 5+ years experience  working with Software Solution Architect teams,  API integration and knowledge in the DevOps practice space to place at our client.
Start date: ASAP.
Office Location: Toronto
Hybrid: preferred on weekly basis

Title: Technical Program Manager - Platform Architecture and API Integrations
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to lead our cross-functional teams in the development and integration of platform architecture and API integrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DevOps practices and be comfortable working in a hybrid waterfall/agile environment. They know how to communicate and collaborate with  architecture teams, liaise with customers to understand and translate requirements, and can recognize opportunities to optimize and increase efficiencies that will result in the team being able to launch new customers more frequently.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with multiple solution architects to design and implement robust platform architecture and API integrations.
  • Manage project and program responsibilities with a focus on architecture, DevOps, and metrics.
  • Oversee dependencies among various architecture teams, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
  • Liaise with customers to understand and integrate their requirements into the project plan.
  • Analyze team capacities and find innovative ways to increase efficiencies and reduce time-to-market for new customer launches.
  • Prioritize and manage the sequencing of work, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators to measure project success and areas for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to adopt best practices in Architecture and DevOps.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager or similar role in a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and principles.
  • Experience managing large-scale architecture projects involving multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Agile methodologies (CSM, SAFe) is a plus.
