Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the global leader in providing payments solutions for Small, Medium and Large businesses. The Operational Excellence (OE) team aims changed to strives to ensure that GCS has a robust first line of defense, playing an active role in supporting the growth of business, meet its objectives and demonstrating an effective control framework. The Business Conduct/Sales Practices Team under OE is responsible for a cohesive Global Business Conduct Program, which aims changed to strives to ensure a strong business risk culture that allows us to operate with the highest standards of sales compliance and conduct, as individuals and as a team.

The GCS Business Conduct Program framework consists of three (3) pillars: Prevention, Detection, and Resolution, and we apply the following four (4) elements below to ensure we drive effectiveness and consistent execution across these three pillars:

• Reporting & Analytics

How will you make an impact in this role?
The Senior Analyst in Operational Excellence is a temporary assignment (Mid May 2024 to approximately August 2024) where you will:
Be responsible for program performance and program refinement which includes leading weekly/monthly program health updates with Business Units and LOBCO partners, performing analysis on BST questions approaching and currently in persistency, leading Business Conduct projects and initiatives, developing and designing BST Compendiums, measuring business partners’ behavior and performance, sharing best practices changed to standard processes to ensure consistency and success within the organization, ensuring alignment on various BST initiatives/topics between our 2nd line of defense by validating Business Self Testing and regulatory practices, and supporting business objectives within the US including the Business Conduct roll-out and continual evolution. This position will also be assisting in strategizing and optimizing business processes including control tests.
The team member will work closely with Line of Business Compliance (LOBCO), GCO, GFE, and other team members within the GCS organization in order to comply changed to align with internal standards, policies, and regulatory obligations.
This position will report to the Sr. Manager, GCS Operational Excellence – Business Conduct US Performance in PHX.

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
• One to three plus years of experience working in Banking, Compliance, or Operational Conduct and Risk
• Strong strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills; demonstrated strong proficiency at an advanced level in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated project management, organization and planning skills applied in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, with strong detail-orientation
• Proven creative problem-solving capabilities with strong follow-up skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to take initiative and work within ambiguous situations
• Positive attitude and demonstrated strength as a quick learner
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Finance, or Statistics
• Experience with banking rules and regulations
Compliance Language
Salary Range: AXP employees will maintain their current salary and be eligible for a completion bonus at the end of the temporary work assignment. The completion bonus is up to 5% base salary for laterals in band and up to 10% base salary for stretch assignments. The completion bonus amount will also be pro-rated to reflect the length of the assignment.
