Job Description: The ideal candidate will possess IT infrastructure program management experience. They must possess the skills needed to drive program outcomes while partnering with engineering teams to successfully deliver outcomes. He/She must have the ability to communicate and understand IT infrastructure terminology to aid in organizing program/project details.
In this role you will work closely with Infrastructure and Application development leaders to build alignment and visibility of the work needing to be delivered on strategic disaster recovery outcomes. You will also work closely with Infrastructure and Application development teams to build alignment, and plan the work needing to be delivered on strategic disaster recovery outcomes. This may include facilitating prioritization of work cross-functionally across engineering teams.
Ideally the candidate will posess the following:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
3-5 years of program management/release management experience in technology.
1+ years of experience using agile/scrum methodologies, principles, and practices.
Experience managing infrastructure programs and/or managing disaster recovery planning efforts.
Ability to gather project requirements & details and build a project plan (work breakdown structure (WBS)) depicting the activities that need to occur and by when in order to deliver on the outcomes.
Ability to coordinate/negotiate and communicate with customers impacted or involved in the program and release outcomes in a consistent fashion.
Possess the ability to communicate, organize, and drive projects details with the engineering teams, while at the same time be able to elevate the messages for leadership and partners outside of network.
Candidate should have experience working in both Agile and Waterfall.
Candidate should be able to break down the overall program into milestone goals to which the project team can drive.
Exhibits customer/client orientation. Ability to work as part of a team and build collaborative cross-functional relationships.
Possesses strong decision-making ability.
Candidate should have experience coordinating work across a minimum of 5+ Infrastructure and/or App Dev teams.
Excellent communicator both oral and written.
Strong organization and facilitation skills.
Good at taking care of ambiguity with strong analytical abilities.
Knowledge and experience with Agile frameworks is necessary, which also includes:
• Knowledge of agile planning practices.
• Experience working with Jira Align and Jira.
• Understanding of how to build Epics and Features in Jira Align.
Nice to Have:
• Experience specifically in Network Program Management.
• Experience managing Disaster Recovery planning efforts.
• Excellent documentation skills to outline Disaster Recovery plans.
• Certified Scaled Agile Framework Product Owner/Product Manager
• Scrum Master experience.
• Prior Product Owner or Product Manager experience.
• Knowledge of Change/Release Management framework and best practices desired.
