The Project Accountant demonstrates process and system knowledge of Sales to Set-up and resourcing processes and systems to ensure financial compliance, and accurate and timely client invoicing and reporting.  This role will read fully executed contracts and backup materials, ensuring project set-up is efficient, timely, accurate, and aligned with Apex Policies. Drafting, analyzing, revising, and negotiating complex master services agreements, Statement of Works, vendor agreements, Request for Proposals, contract employee agreements and other related legal documents
  • Read and understand Time and Materials and Fixed Fee contracts, converting the contractual requirements to an accurate project setup
  • Record and maintain client/contract/project-level details in system of record for engagement setup, including resource assignments and pay and bill rates
  • Monitor compliance with bookings process on all signed contracts to enable booking in the right period when contracts are fully executed
  • Assist in master data cleanup initiatives
  • Maintain service levels, brainstorm business process optimization, and deliver customer satisfaction
  • Backfill for peers in times of high volume or PTO
  • Ongoing collaboration with engagement teams to ensure setups are meeting the needs of internal customers
  • Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to address questions and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Responsible for project data maintenance actions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Business, or related discipline, or equivalent.
  • 1+ years’ relevant experience in corporate environment
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and deadline driven culture
  • Knowledge of time and material and fixed price contracts
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and organization and communication skills
  • Ability to use Excel advanced features
  • Experience with resource planning and budgeting
  • Comfortable speaking up and adding value in meetings with internal partners and customers
  • Results orientation with a high sense of urgency to meet client requirements
