Our client, a leading national homebuilder and developer, recognized the need for an enhanced approach to their software testing processes. They required our expertise to develop automated test cases and establish a robust foundation comprising processes, object repositories, modular templates, and test cases. This foundational setup would optimize test case creation, streamline maintenance, and simplify troubleshooting, thereby empowering their operations with greater efficiency and reliability. With the automated test cases scheduled to run nightly, our client’s team aimed to consistently monitor website functionality by evaluating the results each morning, thus ensuring the highest standards of performance and reliability.​

SOLUTION​

Everforth Apex created a comprehensive solution focusing on the following key areas:​

• Technology and Process Enhancement: Building out an Object Repository to facilitate the creation of modular test cases, thereby simplifying the test creation and maintenance processes.​

• Modular Template Creation: Devising modular templates that serve as the backbone for efficient and scalable test case development.​

• Robust Test Case Development: Creating a wide array of test cases, including Web Smoke Tests with approximately 250-300 cases, Web P1 Regression Tests spanning about 500-800 cases, and SalesForce Smoke Tests, aimed at rigorously assessing the website and SalesForce implementations.​

Our strategic approach not only supported project priorities but also ensured integration across key systems, namely the website and SalesForce platforms. ​

We achieved a remarkable reduction in workload for our client’s quality assurance manual team on every website/Salesforce deployment. By developing the UI Path function across the organization, we introduced a high-level automation tool that streamlined test execution and enhanced defect identification processes.​

Initially onboarded as a singular consultancy resource, the growing success and enhanced demands of the project led to an increase in the number of Everforth Apex consultants deployed, underscoring our ability to scale and meet the evolving needs of our client. With over 12,000 test cases written, leveraging UI Path empowered our client to expedite testing processes, yielding quicker and more specific results upon defect discovery.
