Everforth Apex is thrilled to announce that Chris Howell Foundation has been selected as a 2026 Q1 Grants for Good winner.

Each quarter, Everforth Apex’ Grants for Good program awards a $1,250 grant to two nonprofits—one nominated by our external consultants or clients and the other by our Everforth Apex employees. Both are selected through nominations reviewed by our Global Charity Committee to support the organizations’ missions and causes.

It is an important way for our consultants, clients, and Everforth Apex to contribute to nonprofits and positively impact the communities where we live, serve, and work.

We are proud to announce that one of our two recipients of the 2026 Q1 Grants for Good award is Chris Howell Foundation.

The Awarded Organization

The Chris Howell Foundation was founded by author and broadcast personality Chris Howell and his wife, Dominique Bryant-Howell. Chris’s experiences with adversity inspired him to empower others facing similar challenges. For the past decade, the Foundation has supported the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex by expanding resident’s access to food and offering programs that promote health, wellness, and financial literacy.

Since its inception, the Foundation has:

  • Served more than 105,000 families
  • Distributed over 3 million pounds of food
  • Provided education and resources on HIV awareness
  • Developed programs that help families build budgets and strengthen savings
  • Met communities “where they are,” creating a holistic approach that supports both immediate needs and long-term stability

“If not for volunteers, how do we do what we do? It is so amazing to have wonderful volunteers that come alongside the Foundation and have a heart to serve just as we do.” - Dominique Bryant-Howell

Who Nominated Them and How They Are Involved

This quarter’s nominee was co-founder Dominique, who is also an Everforth Apex consultant. Drawing on her background in healthcare and financial literacy, Dominique channels her expertise into her work with the Chris Howell Foundation. She has volunteered over 200 hours to expand the nonprofit’s activities within the Dallas–Fort Worth community. Above all, Dominique is driven by a deep desire to help other women understand who they are and who they can become—and through this foundation, that vision is being brought to life every day.

How Contributions and Volunteerism Make an Impact

Nonprofit organizations play a critical role in strengthening our communities, yet they are often among the first to feel the impact of economic shifts and trends. Donations, volunteer hours, and grant funding help ensure these organizations can continue delivering essential services.

This donation will be used to purchase food, particularly protein items currently in short supply, so the Foundation can continue providing nutritious options to families with limited access.

How You Can Get Involved

You can support the Chris Howell Foundation in several meaningful ways. Making a financial or in‑kind donation helps provide essential resources, including food assistance, financial literacy education, and back-to-school supplies to vulnerable residents across Dallas–Fort Worth. All contributions are tax-deductible and appreciated. Volunteering is another powerful way to make an impact, and the Foundation offers frequent opportunities for individuals who want to serve their community directly. Businesses can also become partners, joining a network of organizations committed to improving the lives of individuals and families throughout the region. Whether you give, volunteer, or collaborate as a partner, your involvement helps strengthen the Foundation’s mission and expand its reach.
