Everforth Apex is thrilled to announce that the Isabella Santos Foundation has been selected as the Grants for Good 2025 Q2 winner.
Each quarter, Everforth Apex’ Grants for Good program awards a $1,250 grant to two nonprofit organizations—one nominated by our external consultants or clients and the other by our Everforth Apex employees. Both are selected through nominations reviewed by our Global Charity Committee to support the organizations’ missions and causes.
It’s an important way for our consultants, clients, and Everforth Apex to contribute to nonprofits and positively impact the communities where we live, serve, and work.
We are proud to announce that the Isabella Santos Foundation has been selected as the consultant/client winner for the Q2 Grants for Good.
The Awarded Organization
The Isabella Santos Foundation was born from the legacy of Isabella Santos, a brave seven-year-old who passed away from neuroblastoma in 2012. Her mother, Erin Santos-Primis, transformed grief into purpose by turning Isabella’s motto: “Beat cancer, grow hair, live dreams,” into a mission that uplifts children and families affected by rare pediatric cancers.
Since its inception, ISF has raised over $16 million, including a $5 million commitment to establish the Rare & Solid Tumor Program at Levine Children’s Hospital in 2020. By leveraging community partnerships and innovative initiatives such as TORCH (Transformational Outcomes for Rare Cancer Heroes), ISF works to accelerate research, provide cutting-edge therapies, and support survivorship programs for children fighting rare cancers.
Through their dedication to children and families, ISF refuses to let rare pediatric cancers go unnoticed, ensuring that families facing these battles feel supported and that every child affected has access to groundbreaking treatments and a brighter future.
"Every dollar we help raise fuels innovative research, expands access to care, and brings us closer to a future where every child has a fighting chance against rare cancers" - Aryan Kumar
Who Nominated Them and How They Are Involved
The Isabella Santos Foundation was nominated by Everforth Apex consultant Subramani Kumar, whose son Aryan is interning with ISF this summer. Together, Aryan and his father have played a vital role in advancing ISF’s mission by coordinating major events such as the ISF Zer0k, Warrior Wall, Kid’s Zone, and Silent Auction. They have also contributed to marketing initiatives, including promoting sponsorships and raising awareness through campaigns.
Aryan regularly volunteers at the Levine Children’s Institute in Charlotte, NC, specifically on the rare blood cancer floor, where he interacts closely with patients and their families, offering care and comfort during difficult times. It is this deep passion for ISF’s mission that inspired his father to nominate the organization, ensuring its incredible work continues to grow and touch even more families in need.
How Contributions and Volunteerism Make an Impact
Nonprofit organizations like the Isabella Santos Foundation (ISF) play a crucial role in addressing societal challenges by providing essential services and mobilizing communities. However, nonprofits are often vulnerable to fluctuations in funding, demanding compliance regulations, and the increasing competition for donors and volunteers.
A donation to ISF directly supports the fight against rare pediatric cancers and brings much-needed hope to children and families. Specifically, ISF will use the Grants for Good donation to:
- Fund innovative research and clinical trials through partnerships with leading institutions like Levine Children’s Hospital and other children’s hospitals across the Carolinas.
- Expand access to specialized care, including supporting the Rare & Solid Tumor Program at Levine Children’s Hospital—bringing life-saving therapies to children with limited options.
- Provide direct support to families, offering financial assistance, mental health services, and nutritional support so they can fully focus on their child’s care.
- Advance community awareness and advocacy efforts, ensuring that rare pediatric cancers secure much-needed funding and attention.
These efforts collectively bring ISF closer to their vision: a future where children fighting rare cancers not only survive but thrive.
How You Can Get Involved
Supporting the Isabella Santos Foundation goes beyond donations. You can make a meaningful impact by volunteering, attending events, or spreading the word about their mission. Whether it’s assisting with major fundraisers like the ISF Zer0K or helping amplify their advocacy campaigns, every effort helps ISF get closer to a future where children fighting rare cancers receive the best care possible.
