   Interviews and Thank You Letters

A recent CareerBuilder study reported that 57% of job candidates don’t send thank-you notes. In my experience, it's even higher. Taking an extra 3-5+ minutes after an interview to write a genuine thank you to those you met with during the interview can influence your chances of earning that coveted offer, yet many are skipping this step which can communicate your initiative, gratitude, writing and listening skills, organization and follow up, and more! Take this recommended interview piece a step further with our 5 key best practices and interview note components, which will help you further brand and market yourself towards that role!

Frank Bernieri, Professor at Oregon State University, wanted to see how important first impressions were during an interview. He had professionally trained interviewers watch 20 min videos of interviews. And rate the individual on different elements of hireability. He then had novices watch just the first 20 seconds of the same interviews, and also rate the individual. The ratings between the 2 groups were virtually the same! We all have heard that first impressions are important. Certified body language trainer, Jeff Baird will share just how important it they are. And give you nonverbal tips on how to nail the interview and get more job offers.
