Containers are everywhere. Of course, a large part of the appeal of containers is the ease with which you can get started. However, they continue to remain a mythical creature, often sold as "lightweight VMs." The truth is, productioning containers involves understanding what containers really are, be that from a security or orchestration perspective.
In this session we will take a look at some of the primitives that make containers "happen." We'll see how containers are simply Linux primitives. By the end of the session, you'll walk away with a keen understanding of how containers really work, preparing you to better understand how to use them at scale.
