Job Description:

Our client’s User Experience & Design team is a multi‑disciplinary group of UX designers, visual designers, content strategists, and researchers responsible for creating best‑in‑class desktop and mobile experiences. They partner closely with business and technology teams to develop intuitive, effective tools that help users achieve important goals. Their approach is grounded in user‑centered design, collaboration, and a commitment to high‑quality digital experiences.

They are seeking a UX Designer in the Austin, TX area who excels in design execution, teamwork, and translating complex concepts into clear, user-friendly interfaces.

Key Responsibilities
Design Consulting
  • Facilitate collaborative design sessions including ideation workshops and sketching exercises.
  • Lead design reviews and guide design decisions across teams.
  • Develop solutions that support the full user journey and address diverse user needs.
  • Apply and uphold established design system standards and patterns.
  • Produce visual artifacts such as sketches, diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes with appropriate documentation.
  • Embrace an iterative design process focused on refinement and continuous improvement.
Design Management
  • Define expectations and manage priorities with project teams.
  • Create and maintain design schedules across initiatives.
  • Clearly communicate progress, risks, and decisions with partners.
  • Review work with UX leadership and escalate issues when appropriate.
Design Expertise & Execution
  • Maintain high-quality standards for all design outputs.
  • Execute design deliverables end‑to‑end, from concept through production and design QA.
  • Participate in and support user research activities.
  • Contribute to improving processes, tools, and workflows within the UX practice.
Teamwork, Collaboration & Engagement
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners including product, engineering, and research.
  • Support and engage with fellow UX team members.
  • Listen to feedback thoughtfully and incorporate it where appropriate.
  • Bring a strong design perspective while remaining flexible and adaptable.
  • Demonstrate passion for UX, design excellence, and delivering value to both users and business partners.
Empathy & Curiosity
  • Understand user needs and advocate for their perspectives through thoughtful design.
  • Focus on innovation and ongoing improvement.
  • Stay informed about advances in design theory, tools, and best practices.
