Job Title: Loan Workout QA Specialist
Location: West Des Moines, IA | 5x/week ON-SITE
Contract Length: 18+ months
Rate: $20-25/hr
Interview Process: 1 round 30-minute Teams interview
Top Requirements:
- Collection law, civil litigation, and civil procedure experience
- Legal document review experience (accuracy checks, matching documents, state requirements)
- QA / quality review experience
- Basic MS systems (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Understanding of credit cards
Plusses:
- Loan workout, collections, or commercial lending experience
- Paralegal certification
- Notarized document review experience
- QA or audit experience in financial services
Job Summary:
This role supports the Loan Workout organization by performing quality assurance reviews on physical legal documents for customers involved in civil legal matters. The specialist will validate accuracy, state‑specific requirements, and proper notarization. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong understanding of legal document structures, and the ability to work fully onsite reviewing documents, verifying information, and supporting the team’s compliance‑driven processes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Review physical legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Confirm alignment between documents and corresponding paperwork
- Validate notarization and verify state‑specific legal requirements
- Perform judgment and complaint validations as needed
- Test information prior to sending to third‑party legal partners
- Maintain high accuracy standards while handling sensitive legal materials
- Communicate findings and escalate discrepancies
- Use MS Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams for documentation and workflow management
