Please screen for this.The Markets Infrastructure Services (MIS) staff provides high-level day-to-day operational support services for the Markets Group’s mission critical systems and databases. Markets business objectives are supported through implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the Markets Groups systems.System Administrators provide operational production support in an environment where change control, incident management, and compliance policies and procedures are enforced. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to understand complex application flows that include middleware, operating systems, and databases while performing troubleshooting and analysis.System Administrators act as technical resources for the Markets Group's major projects and will assist with the implementation of code deployments and infrastructure components. Working with the Markets Operations Support Team requires strong communications and customer service skills.The successful candidate will be working in a mission critical environment with a team of senior administrators. While you will get guidance from peers it will be encouraged to show the ability to work independently and showing the willingness to accept new technical challenges.• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or at least 5+ yrs experience of RedHat administration and troubleshooting.• Scripting language such as Python, shell, and Ansible.• Red Hat Satellite, RHEV-M.• Hands-on knowledge of Logical Volume Manager (LVM).• Demonstrated understanding of system security best practices.• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.Desirable Skills:• Working knowledge of IBM WebSphere administration.• Working knowledge of IBM MQ administration.• Knowledge of Oracle 12c/19c database.• Knowledge of JBOSS.• Knowledge of Networking and SAN principles.• Knowledge of ServiceNow.• Experience working in a planning environment using Agile methodologies.• Knowledge of Splunk and Dynatrace.• Understanding of Ansible, Git and other automation tools.• AWS Cloud Services.Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:• Deploy and administer high availability and contingency solutions (On -site failover, clustering, and replication to off-site systems).• The successful candidate would be part of a team that provides 24x7 support.• Support Markets applications deployments and testing for both weekday and weekend code deployments.• Support Markets application problem resolution.• Administer enterprise monitoring of server performance, availability, and security.• Knowledge of system backup and recovery solutions.• Provide administration support for middleware such as WebSphere, MQ, and JBOSS on servers that reside on Markets servers.• Work with InfoSec and Audit teams ensuring that the Markets systems are properly maintained, administered, and secure. Implement security solutions if needed.• Support Development, QA, and Production environments and complete contingency tests for necessary environments.• Participate in Markets project teams and provide technical expertise/guidance to the Markets business teams about available technical solutions.Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
