Job Summary
Senior Java Full Stack Engineer to support development and enhancement of the Global Funds Control (GFC) application within a digital assets and fund operations environment. This role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing application solutions while partnering closely with business stakeholders to support the fund accounting and NAV lifecycle processes.
The position is a consultant role supporting a new digital assets initiative within the Global Funds Control platform.
Key Responsibilities
• Full Stack Application Development: Design, develop, and implement application components for the Global Funds Control platform using Java-based technologies and modern web frameworks.
• Requirements Analysis & Solution Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements related to fund accounting and NAV lifecycle processes and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• System Architecture & Enhancement: Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the GFC application by implementing new features, workflows, and performance improvements.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support: Lead and support UAT activities by addressing stakeholder questions, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring successful validation of deliverables.
• Production Support & Incident Resolution: Provide production support by investigating and resolving application issues, managing incidents, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to minimize operational impact.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, database teams, and business partners to ensure seamless integration of system components and reliable system performance.
• Agile Development Practices: Participate in Agile development cycles including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery of new features.
• Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain technical documentation including system designs, process flows, and support materials to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
Qualifications
• 8-12+ years of full stack development experience
• Strong expertise in Core Java and Java-based application frameworks
• Experience with Angular for front-end development
• Experience with messaging technologies such as MQ
• Strong knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot frameworks
• Experience working with Oracle databases
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
• Proven experience working in Agile development environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Experience
• Experience supporting financial services or capital markets applications
• Exposure to fund accounting, NAV lifecycle processes, or funds control platforms
• Experience supporting production environments and resolving complex application incidents
• Familiarity with distributed caching technologies such as Hazelcast
