This position supports defensive cyberspace operations for a key government partner. The selected candidate will provide expertise on the planning and execution of a variety of defensive cyberspace Operations, Actions, and Investments (OA&I). This role involves collaboration with multiple internal and external planning elements and joint staff directorates to protect critical infrastructure.
- Conduct and support future operations (FUOPS) planning and defensive cyber operations execution.
- Translate strategic guidance into executable Courses of Action (COAs), CONOPs, and TTPs.
- Lead or support deliberate planning and Crisis Action Planning using the Joint Planning Process (JPP).
- Lead teams of diverse stakeholders to develop plans that meet Commander’s priorities and mission objectives.
- Develop and conduct briefings to senior leadership.
- Author and staff CONOPS and various levels of operational plans (e.g., BPLANS, CONPLANS, OPLANS).
- Develop assessment indicators and practices to measure the effectiveness of defensive cyberspace operations.
- Coordinate and de-conflict communications with staff elements, subordinate headquarters, and other government agencies.
Education & Experience:
- Master's degree with 10 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience.
- Associate's degree with 14 years of experience.
- In lieu of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
Clearance:
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and eligibility for a C/I Polygraph.
Technical Skills & Certifications:
- Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Level I or II certification.
- Demonstrated experience with the Joint Planning Process (JPP).
- Working knowledge of Joint Publication 3-12 (Cyberspace Operations), JP-3 (Operations), and JP 5-0 (Joint Planning).
- Experience briefing Senior Executive Service (SES) and General Officer/Flag Officer (GO/FO) leadership.
- Experience with DISA and DoD Networks.
- Completion of military cyber planning courses (e.g., ACOPC, JCOPC, JACWC).
- Completion of non-DoD cyber certifications (e.g., Net+, SEC+, CISM, CISSP).
- Understanding of Directive Authority for Cyberspace Operations (DACO).
For this contract-to-permanent role, the pay rate is between $70.00 and $90.00 per hour. The anticipated conversion salary range is $185,000 to $200,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience.
