Role Overview

This position is for an Epic Contract Build Analyst who will function at the intersection of IT and the revenue cycle. The role involves building, testing, and maintaining a range of payer contracts, including managed care, government, and commercial. The successful candidate will work independently in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot contract accuracy, and ensure precise calculation of net expected reimbursement. This is a fully remote, contract-to-hire opportunity for an individual who can adapt to changing priorities and contribute to a dynamic team.

 

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain managed care, government, and commercial contracts within the Epic system.
  • Interpret reimbursement methodologies to create accurate contract modeling calculations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of reimbursement calculations in system dictionaries and tables.
  • Thoroughly test new and existing contract builds to confirm correct calculations for netting down accounts receivable.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot discrepancies between expected reimbursement and actual payer payments.
  • Handle a dynamic workload, switching between contract builds and other urgent tasks as they arise.
  • Work independently to manage projects and resolve issues related to contract modeling.
  • Collaborate with other teams regarding managed care contract changes that impact expected payments.
Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • Three to five years of related experience in Revenue Cycle applications, specifically in contract modeling.
  • Strong background in revenue management with recent experience in Epic build work.
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and concepts.
  • Experience with a wide range of contracts, including those based on Medicare methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to not only build contracts but also analyze and apply them at the account level.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Certification in Epic Contract Build is required.
  • Knowledge of importing files and PCD contracts within Epic.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience in Patient Financial Services or Finance.
  • Hospital Billing Expected Reimbursement Contracts certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-change environment.
Work Environment

This is a 100% remote position with flexibility across time zones. The role requires the ability to handle a fast-paced setting where priorities can shift quickly. The ideal candidate is a flexible, accountable team player with a positive outlook who can manage tasks communicated through email and tracked via shared documents like Google Sheets.
