Job Description:
Location: Jersey City, New Jersey
This is a hands-on senior role responsible for the end-to-end functional and technical architecture of the Oracle Fusion HCM platform. The position serves as the primary authority for HCM solution design and delivery. You will work with HR, Product, and IT stakeholders to translate business strategy into scalable and secure HCM solutions while providing architectural governance and technical leadership.
- Own the end-to-end Oracle Fusion HCM architecture and act as the primary design authority.
- Define and enforce configuration, integration, security, and extensibility standards.
- Design scalable solutions across Core HR, Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, Learning, Time & Labor, Absence, and Compensation modules.
- Partner with HR business users and Product Owners to understand business processes and requirements.
- Lead requirement gathering workshops and stakeholder discussions.
- Translate requirements into functional documentation, including user stories, process flows, and configuration designs.
- Act as a hands-on Functional Technical Lead, translating functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Provide leadership and oversight to offshore development teams.
- Lead sprint planning, estimation, execution, and milestone delivery.
- Architect and govern integrations between Oracle HCM and internal/external systems.
- Support functional testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, quarterly upgrades, and production readiness.
- Proactively manage technical debt and drive platform improvements.
Experience: 10+ years of overall IT experience, including 7+ years working with Oracle Fusion HCM. Proven experience as a Functional Technical Lead, Architect, or Technical Lead on Oracle HCM implementations. Experience working in global offshore–onshore delivery models is required.
Technical Skills: Strong functional expertise and hands-on delivery experience across multiple HCM modules. Strong understanding of HR and Payroll data models and integration patterns. Experience with Fast Formulas, BI Publisher, HCM Extracts / HDL, REST/SOAP APIs, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Visual Builder / Visual Builder Studio (VBS), and Oracle APEX is necessary.
- Oracle HCM Cloud technical or functional certifications.
- Experience supporting large enterprise or global HCM implementations.
- Exposure to Agile / Scrum delivery methodologies.
- Experience with Redwood UX and modernization initiatives.
- Experience in regulated or audit-heavy environments.
