Location: Juno Beach, Florida (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Under general supervision, this role provides project management and design services for distribution facilities. The specialist will apply a diversified knowledge of engineering principles to a broad variety of assignments. This position acts as a single point of contact for projects, making independent decisions on engineering complexities and methods. The role requires proactive communication to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction, along with proficiency in the design of distribution systems for both new construction and maintenance.
- Perform work order assessments and complete complex designs to meet internal and external customer needs.
- Coordinate the planning, organization, and implementation of engineering projects with other units.
- Produce resource estimates for man-hours, materials, and work type.
- Evaluate distribution system capability to serve new loads and mitigate potential future impacts.
- Provide and maintain cost-effective designs while considering customer requests.
- Manage projects, including design, estimating, negotiations, performance tracking, and reporting.
- Handle all aspects of engineering design and permitting.
- Work with other departments to establish customer requirements and project costs.
- Maintain standards and policies, support the organization, and participate in communications and meetings.
- Meet attendance and storm duty requirements, including working extended hours.
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or a High School Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in Distribution/Utility and customer interactions and negotiations.
Technical Skills: An Electric Power Technology Certification is required.
- A Master's Degree in a related field of study.
The pay rate for this position is between $28.00 and $33.76 per hour.
