Location: Raleigh, NC - 5 days onsite
Shift: 7a-4pm Mon-Friday
**After 6 months the shift will move to Sat-Sun 12am-12pm, Wed-Thurs 4pm- 12am (Mon, Tues & Fri off)
Employment Type: 12 month contract that is likely to convert to full time
Pay Rate: $40/hr W2
We are seeking a Critical Facility Technician to ensure the continuous operation of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within a data center and large critical administrative facility. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, daily corrective work, and responding to emergency issues to maintain greater than 99.99% uptime for mission-critical systems. The technician will provide onsite support, monitor third-party vendors, and assist with project management under the guidance of senior staff.
- Perform preventative maintenance and daily corrective work on critical facility equipment.
- Provide immediate response to emergency issues to ensure operational continuity.
- Serve as onsite physical support, following the leadership of the Senior Critical Facility Technician.
- Monitor the work of onsite third-party vendors to ensure compliance with standards.
- Assist with the management of small projects from conception to completion.
- Conduct daily hands-on troubleshooting and operation of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Support the implementation and execution of site-specific training exercises.
- Deliver on key milestones and document project results for communication to leadership.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and operations of equipment including, but not limited to, fire and life safety systems, stand-by diesel generators, switchgear, UPS’s, PDU’s, AHU’s, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFD’s, building automation, and SCADA systems.
