Authentication Project Delivery Manager (CIAM)

Client: Top 5 Bank

Duration: 6 months Contract to fulltime (contract to hire)

Work Location: Hybrid 1-2 days a week downtown Toronto

-         Wednesday 3rd Friday Office

Hours: 37.5 hr/week; Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Summary:

Authentication is the gateway to every client interaction and as a Sr. Consultant, Authentication Project Delivery Manager, you will sit at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution. You aren’t just a traditional Project Manager; you are a Delivery Specialist responsible for navigating the full lifecycle of transformational authentication projects.

Your leadership will ensure that million of clients enjoy a secure, seamless, and client-centric experience across all digital and physical channels. You will thrive in a matrixed environment, taking ownership of complex problems and driving cross-functional teams toward successful market rollouts.

How You’ll Succeed

• Integrated Project Delivery:
  • You will bridge the gap between Project Management (planning, tracking, and execution) and Project Delivery (Business Testing, People Change Management (PCM) and Go-to-Market strategy. You don't just track tasks; you do the work to move services into the market.
• Cross-Functional Leadership:
  • Act as the central hub between various tech teams and business units. You will drive digital projects forward by ensuring all technical workstreams are aligned with business objectives.
• Technical Translation:
  • While you don’t need to be a CIAM (Customer Identity & Access Management) expert, you must have enough "surface-level" technical fluency to have meaningful discussions with developers and security teams, identify gaps, and unblock delivery.
• Strategic Rollouts:
  • Oversee the "push to market," including business readiness and the implementation of new capabilities. You will manage the nuances of rolling out highly sensitive authentication features in a regulated banking environment.
• Stakeholder Navigation:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the bank, communicating clearly and concisely to ensure alignment in a complex, matrixed environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a role that combines traditional PM duties with deep Project Delivery (PCM, Business Testing, and implementation).
• Proven experience specifically within Client Authentication. You understand the stakes of secure identity verification and its impact on the client journey.
• Experience sitting on the business side of digital projects while managing high-output technical teams.
• Demonstrated success in "pushing services to market," including managing business testing cycles and people-change initiatives.
• The ability to speak "technical" to developers and "business value" to stakeholders, ensuring no gaps exist between the two.

Apex pay scales are determined by role, experience, skill set, and location. For this new position, the estimated hourly range is provided below as a guideline; however, total compensation may vary based on individual circumstances.
