An opportunity is available for an Electrical Engineer with digital electronics design and analysis skills. This role involves collaboration and innovation within an engineering team to generate and utilize cutting-edge technology. The focus is on designing digital electronics circuits that implement missile guidance, video, and digital signal processing. The technology base includes high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and homogeneous/heterogeneous multiprocessor designs.
- Responsible for the design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and/or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for missile applications.
- Engage in all aspects of circuit card design, including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Work within a collaborative team environment to achieve project goals.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology will also be considered.
Experience: A minimum of 8 years of engineering digital circuit design experience, including at least two of the following areas: development and design of electronic circuit designs; ability to take a design concept from block diagram or requirements to a complete hardware design and verification; and experience with the PCB design process and tools for schematic capture, analysis, and simulation.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain DOD interim Secret Clearance
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis, and design for production.
- Experience using Mentor Graphics Design Creation (Siemens EDA) tools such as DxDesigner, xDX Designer VX, and Xilinx (Zynq Ultrascale, Vivado, Atrix).
- Experience using PCB electronic circuit design software like HyperLynx for signal integrity, power integrity, and analog simulation, and Xpedition Enterprise (xPCB).
- Experience with complex circuit card assemblies between 16 and 32 layers.
- Familiarity with Constraint Editor System (CES).
- Knowledge of software and/or FPGA code development.
- Experience leading a program transition from development to production.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical and schedule risks and to identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Knowledgeable in cost/schedule development and management.
- Experience in managing schedules and resources to meet assigned milestones.
- Capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects.
The pay rate for this position is between $98.00 and $108.00 per hour.
