Role Overview

As a Provider Technology Support Representative, you will be the first point of contact for clinicians and technology teams, delivering support for electronic health record (EHR) and clinical decision technology. This role requires a background in a clinical setting to effectively support a patient portal within an EMR system. The objective is to master the patient portal and eventually progress to supporting the full product.

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line customer service in a call center environment.
  • Troubleshoot application incidents, including password resets, and complete service requests within service-level agreements (SLA).
  • Develop a thorough understanding of patient-centered oncology care, EHR workflows, and the patient portal.
  • Document all incident details, including steps taken to troubleshoot, and escalate issues to Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams when necessary.
  • Support clinical applications on various devices such as computers, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including practice IT and vendors, to resolve incidents.
  • Contribute to the creation of knowledge base articles.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience in a clinical-type background (e.g., Nurse Assistant, Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Tech) or with EMR systems.

 

Technical Skills: Experience using, implementing, or supporting clinical workflows in electronic health record applications or other clinical systems.

 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patience.
  • A willingness to learn with an open mindset.
  • Experience providing customer support by phone, email, or chat.
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems, desktops, and networking.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Work Environment

This is a contract-to-hire position with a 6-month initial duration. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day, and begins on-site. There will be shift rotations from 6:00am to 6:00pm Central Time and an on-call rotation.

 
Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $15.00 and $18.00 per hour. A benefits package is available to eligible employees.
