Technical Sourcing Recruiter / Talent Sourcer
12 Month Contract
On-site, Toronto
This role focuses heavily on passive candidate engagement, market research, and pipeline generation for niche and high‑volume technical roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Pipeline Development — Build and maintain strong pipelines for technical roles (e.g., Software Engineers, Solution Architects, etc)
- Passive Candidate Sourcing — Identify and engage passive talent using advanced sourcing techniques (Boolean, X‑ray, GitHub, StackOverflow, HireEZ, LinkedIn Recruiter).
- Stakeholder Management — Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, calibrate profiles, and influence hiring decisions with data.
- Candidate Engagement — Craft compelling outreach messaging and maintain high‑touch communication throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
- Market Intelligence — Provide insights on talent availability, competitive landscape, and sourcing channel performance.
- Diversity Sourcing — Develop and execute strategies to attract diverse technical talent.
- Data & Reporting — Track pipeline health, funnel metrics, and sourcing effectiveness
- Candidate Assessment — Conduct initial screens to evaluate technical fit, experience, and motivation.
- Process Optimization — Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve candidate experience.
- Experience sourcing technical talent in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, HireEZ, GitHub, Boolean search).
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using ATS/CRM systems.
- Experience sourcing for technical talent
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret funnel data and adjust strategy.
- Delivering high‑quality pipelines quickly for niche technical roles.
- Building trust with hiring managers through consistent communication and calibration.
- Increasing passive candidate engagement and response rates.
- Demonstrating ownership, bias for action, and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Improving diversity representation in pipelines.
- Maintaining a strong candidate experience from first touch to handoff.
