Job Description:
Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (Partial Remote)
The Senior Developer is responsible for using approved programming languages, operating systems, and source code to create, enhance, and maintain application solutions that meet identified functional and non-functional business requirements. This role involves complex assignments and significant responsibility in the development process, working closely with architects to build and enhance systems.
- Lead the development and execution of unit tests and functional test coverage for coding changes.
- Code and build application solutions from specifications provided by analysts and architects.
- Lead testing of application software modifications using various programming platforms.
- Perform complex coding and testing across multiple systems and processes.
- Assist in defining and enforcing processes to ensure the quality of technical solutions.
- Present solutions and represent the development team in code reviews and broader technical reviews.
- Oversee and enforce the documentation of all code changes.
- Manage source code changes using approved version control systems like Subversion and Git.
- Provide on-call support for systems and applications in production.
- Lead the development team in production support activities, including incident management and code corrections.
- Experience with software development principles, practices, and concepts.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented (OO) concepts and their application to design and development.
- Familiarity with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) and web services (REST, SOAP).
- Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server and IBM MQ Series.
- Understanding of web security, including keys, certificates, and trusts.
- Proficiency with source code management tools such as Subversion or Git.
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL) and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Advanced skills in Java, including Java EE, Hibernate, and the Spring Framework.
- Experience with microservice frameworks like Quarkus.
- Experience with serverless architectures, containerization, and AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda).
- Knowledge of MVC Frameworks, MDB, and EJB.
- Familiarity with Eclipse IDE or MS VSCode, Apache Maven, HTML, JavaScript/Typescript, and CSS.
- AWS or Azure certification is required.
- Experience with ColdFusion, ColdFusion Components, and ColdFusion Builder.
