The Senior IT Project Manager will lead high‑impact, enterprise‑level initiatives that strengthen clinical, operational, and administrative systems across the organization. This is a strategic role that partners closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and technical stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that directly improve patient care.
This position is hybrid, with on‑site presence required based on project needs.
- Lead complex IT initiatives from planning through implementation and stabilization, with a focus on healthcare technology.
- Develop and manage project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation.
- Ensure alignment with established PMO standards, governance, and methodologies.
- Partner with clinical, business, and technical stakeholders to define objectives, success metrics, and deliverables.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to maintain project momentum.
- Manage resources effectively to meet milestones and deliver on time and within scope.
- Provide clear, consistent communication to sponsors and leadership through dashboards, reports, and presentations.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and performance.
- Navigate challenges, resolve conflicts, and maintain strong cross‑functional collaboration.
- Manage scope changes and implement contingency plans when needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred (IT, Business, Healthcare, or related field).
- 10+ years of progressive project management experience, including 8+ years in healthcare IT or another regulated environment.
- PMP certification required.
- Proven success leading large‑scale, cross‑functional initiatives involving EHR systems, clinical applications, or enterprise infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies.
- Technical breadth across cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, end‑user computing, telecom, and analytics.
- Experience managing third‑party vendors and external teams.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced proficiency with Smartsheet, MS Project, and Microsoft 365.
